Hba1c of 6.3 is suggestive of prediabetes. Hba1c shows average sugar of the past 3 months and is gold standard to diagnose diabetes There is 15% chance of progression to diabetes with each passing year in absence of intervention. This condition can be reversed by diet and exercise The first step is life style changes, weight loss of about 10% , healthy diet ( avoid sugar, sweets, rice, bread, fried foods) and exercise 30 min daily for 5 days a week. Medications can be added to assist with weight loss as well

Please consult online to discuss details of diet and medicines. Recommend checking Hba1c in 3 months, with fasting sugar and insulin levels in 3 months to assess response to treatment
