HbA1c can be used in diagnosis of diabetes type 2 but for often we check HbA1c to see the control of blood sugar with the medication or Insulin.....as it shows a 3monthly status of blood sugar!!! If Ur FBS and PPPBS is normal then nothing to worry....rather keep a check on diet and repeat the investigations once again after six months!!!
Next Steps
Healthy food and exercise!!!

HbA1c is an indirect measure of blood sugar control in a already diagnosed diabetic patient. However it is also used for diagnosis. If HbA1C is 6.6 borderline high it should be re checked, history must be taken, fasting and post prandial sugar test to be done. Do all this and consult with doctor with the reports.

If your HbA1c is in the diabetic range ( 6.5 % or more ) and your FBS and PP is normal . You can still have diabetes . You need to do OGGT with 75 grams of glucose to confirm the diagnosis.
