Hello,
Your symptoms suggest acute laryngitis, which is a common cause of dry cough and hoarseness or unclear voice. This can be due to a viral infection, acid reflux (GERD), allergy, or vocal strain.
Next Steps
If the symptoms persist beyond 7–10 days or worsen, please visit an ENT specialist for a detailed examination, including laryngoscopy if needed.
Health Tips
Voice rest – avoid talking unnecessarily or straining your voice.
plenty fluids - minimum 10 glasses of water.
Avoid irritants – hot liquids tea coffee, smoke, dust, and strong fragrances.
Elevate your head while sleeping – to reduce acid reflux
Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT
It may be due to viral laryngitis, acid reflux, or vocal strain. Take steam inhalation 2–3 times/day, stay hydrated, avoid spicy food and talking loudly. If symptoms persist beyond 5–7 days, get a laryngoscopy done by nearest ENT specialist.
