Hello dear Thanks for reaching out and giving such an elaborate history. I have gone through your complaints very carefully. Your neck and shoulder pain appears to be due to long standing rotator cuff weakness, leading to increased strain on the shoulder and neck muscles making them painful. Since you have a 18 months old kid, you might be lifting her every now and then and thats why your pain has appeared. You might have additional symptoms like hair fall, acidity, cramps in calves, forgetfulness etc. You need to be put on a specific exercise regimen and screened for vitamin deficiencies. Hi First of all don't worry. This is very common. Even in young. I would like to know:- 1. What treatment have you taken for the pain? 2. Is there any weakness/tingling/numbness in your hand or legs? 3. Any weight loss, fever or other associated problem? Now, Your description of pain sounds like Radiculopathy. This fancy word just means that A nerve might be getting compressed in the spine from where it comes out. But it has to be confirmed through an MRI. MRI gives a better picture about the nerves. I agree getting an MRI done during a pandemic is difficult and risky since you have a child at home. But if the pain is really troubling you a lot, then kindly get it done with all the precautions for Covid.
