Hi Take ice packs after every 3-4 hours ,  rest and apply crepe bandage if possible for next 48 to 72 hours , if it is the acute injury . Consult a good Physiotherapist near you . So that proper advice and treatment can be given according to the problem. Thanx

Your pain and the cause of injury indicate a possible hamstring muscle injury. If the injury happened less than 48 hours ago. Rest and cold packs will help. In case there is any skin discoloration or massive swelling, consult an orthopedic. Otherwise, post 48 hours, you can continue cold packs and try gentle stretches within the pain free range.
