You probably have androgenic alopecia which is usually familial or genetic problem, for that u should consult to your dermatologist who will give some 5HT blocker medicines and minoxidil 5% lotion after screening.

hairline recession cannot be reversed with any medical therapy on the planet. you will need to undergo hair transplant in that area. Go ONLY to a dermatologist (with MCI recognised university certified qualified Dermatologist with MD,DNB or DVD degree) or a plastic surgeon... there are many chains where they do hair transplant but the operating doctor is actually a dentist/MBBS/BAMS/BHMS.. make sure you know the credentials of your operating doctor and there is no harm in asking to see the degree as it is a surgery you need to be vigilant in your approach. Transplant is a surgical procedure and should be done by qualified expert. there are many chains run by quacks so don't get misled in an attempt to save money on procedure as hair transplant is a one time option and need to be done effectively. Get it done from a certified qualified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. hope this is helpful
