He is complaining of losing hair on his head from last 2-3 years. Started off with too much hair shedding on pillow. His body has body hair which also shed on clothes and bed. He is healthy and under no medication. Age 26. Height is 6ft. Weight 105kgs. Our father never had a problem like this, infact his hair was good, even in late 60s. So what is the problem with my brother? Is it a disease?

Your brotherâs hair loss on both the scalp and body could be due to several reasons:
Possible Causes:
Telogen Effluvium â Hair shedding due to stress, poor diet, or past illness.
Androgenetic Alopecia (Male Pattern Baldness) â Can occur even if your father didnât have it.
Nutritional Deficiencies â Low iron, vitamin D, or B12.
Autoimmune Disorders (Alopecia Areata/Totalis) â The immune system attacks hair follicles.
Hormonal Imbalance â Thyroid issues, testosterone-DHT imbalance.
Fungal Infections or Scalp Conditions â Like seborrheic dermatitis.
Next Steps:
Blood Tests: CBC, Iron, Vitamin D, B12, Thyroid Profile, DHT levels.
Ayurvedic Approach:
Bhringraj oil + Neelibhringadi taila scalp massage.
Amla, Ashwagandha, and Yashtimadhu for hair nourishment.
Avoid excess heat, processed foods, and stress.
Increase protein-rich foods (dal, paneer, nuts) and hydration.
If hair loss continues, a dermatologist or Ayurvedic physician can help with a deeper diagnosis.
