Hair loss & itchy scalp
Hey. In the past few months, I have been experiencing thinning of hair and hair loss at the top of the head alongwith itchy scalps. I just wanted to know what one should do to control the hair-loss and if this is a temporary hair-loss or something like a male pattern baldness which cannot be reversed? Thanks

Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin disease that causes an itchy rash with flaky scales. It causes redness on light skin and light patches on darker skin. Seborrheic dermatitis may go away without treatment. Or you may need many repeated treatments before the symptoms go away. And they may return later. Daily cleansing with a gentle antifungal soap and shampoo can help reduce oiliness and dead skin buildup. Hair loss also can be triggered coz of this condition. Consult a Dermatologist for the same.
