This might be due to two reasons .1 ur teeth are Proclined or 2 ur upper jaw is proclined If ur condition is 1 then can be treated with braces ( orthodontic correction followed by gingivectomy) If it’s 2 then u need surgical corrections for knowing ur exact condition please do consult a dentist near by

Your facial deformity reflecting as gummy smile is to be thoroughly evaluated by x rays( Lateral Cephalogram and Opg),Teeth models(study models) and Photographs... Later we will the exact picture of the dental & skeletal deformity level. Based on that, we will be having 4 options done individually or in combination. 1.If the problem is restricted to gums only(excessive gums with short clinical crowns) we can to gingival surgery (gingivectomy) 2.If its due to freely mobile upper lip(hyperactive) or due to short upper lip, we can give botox injections to make it not to go too high leading to gum visibility or will do lip lengthening if it's short upper lip. 3.If its just forwardly placed upper jaw, orthodontic treatment (braces) will be sufficient with extraction of premolar. 4.If the excessive gum display is due to downwardly long upper jaw(vertical maxillary excess), then a corrective jaw surgery called Orthognathic surgery is to be done along with braces..  Ofcourse, a borderline long upper jaw can be pushed up with braces alone using skeletal anchorage, thus a major surgery can be avoided.

This can be corrected either by orthodontic treatment or by doing a kind of gum surgery called gingivectomy but it all depends on proper clinical examination of your teeth and gums. Consult the dentist to know the proper treatment plan.
