The best thing to do is to visit a near by dental office with a full mouth Dental Xray (OPG) which would help the doctor confirm the presence of the impacted wisdom tooth , and whether the arch length is big enough favouring eruption ( deciding on the position and angulation of the impacted tooth ). The doctor would take a call on the treatment if to go in for the tooth extraction or not .
Next Steps
Take a digital full mouth dental xray OPG
Health Tips
If the wisdom tooth is unfavourable for eruption taking into account the adjacent tooth and the alignment of teeth in thst particular jaw . GET them extracted
If it's generalized swelling then it is mostly due to improper hygiene, u need cleaning and proper hygiene regime... If it's local to ur last molar then probably due to ur wisdom tooth u need to keep that area clean if not cure then get it remove...
