Growing beard protect from UV rays?

I have doubt regarding the "growing beard" I read in somewhere,is beard saves from direct UVA/UVB Ray's on face? Is growing beard is good enough on face?is it really helpful to protect from sun rays etc ? Please clarify and give me your valuable answers

Of course it will give physical sunprotection....it depends on your lifestyle if you want to keep your beard or not....there are many good sunscreens you can use and it is not necessary that you need to grow beard just to have sunprotection...
