Let us first confirm its blood...so get stool for occult blood and stool routine done.i would like to confirm its blood only then look for a cause and treat accordingly.Blindly giving probiotics makes no sense. Common causes of passing blood in stool without pain at this age can be infections, cow milk protein allergy, polyp and haemrrhoids and painful could be anal fissure and constipation.
Next Steps
stool test

S it a probiotic can be used , your baby might have developed stomach infection which now as led on to indigestion what we call as secondary lactose intolerance , so kindly give your baby exclusive breast feeds and no other form of milk other than breast milk

All stomach upsets are due to lack of hygiene. If he has completed 5 months of age, give 1 solid meal including curd and Banana in the diet,1 top formula feed using a spoon and katori and 4 breastmilk feeds a day. Add Enterogermina vial half vial twice a day for 5 days. If not improving in 3 days OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or fever or dullness and refusal to feed, consult your paediatrician or me here.
