Greasy hair only on crown
Hi, I am getting treatment from Dr. Health for hair fall. But when I was trying to explain the doctor about greasy stringy hair only on the crown and back of the head, he doesn't seem to understand. As of now using Dove intense repair shampoo as recommended by him but I feel even that is causing more greasyness. When I browsed through looks like seborrheic dermatitis. Could it be that? I am on Autrin as suggested by doc and on homeopathic medicines given by same doc. But quite tensed now that it has actually worsened the problem rather than reducing! Please advise whom to approach and what are the root causes. Rest of the scalp looks fine except the backside which gives a ugly feeling if I touch or comb.

Greetings, yes this could be seborrhoeic dermatitis / sebopsoriasis! PLEASE VISIT A QUALIFIED DERMATOLOGIST IN YOUR CITY AND TAKE CONSULTATION FROM HIM / HER. You''ll need certain specific shampoos and lotions for your scalp for improvement of this condition. Do not worry, this is very much treatable. Caution: Make sure you see a qualified MD / DNB/ DVD dermatologist for all your skin and hair issues. Don’t be lured in by quacks. Know your treating doctor/ discourage quackery! Warm regards, Dr Govind Suresh Mittal. Bengaluru.
