Fungal infection does not spread to others , immediate care takers by applying the cream .You can wash your hands with soap thoroughly after the application of the cream.

Please go to a Dermatologist in your area. Let him see your grandfather, diagnose his problem, recommend the treatment and advise you how to protect yourself from Candidiasis.
Candidiasis is not like Rabies or HIV that you will get infection by looking at it.
