Grade 1 diastolic function
My 22 year old sister has been feelin sick n weak since months along with chest pain and nausea.. yesterday her condition worsened and We took her to city hospital where dey did ecg, echo,and chest xray.. Now in echo report I read that she has grade 1 diastolic dysfunction (E < A)... But doc discharged her today saying nothin to worry and she is fine.. But i read this diastolic dysfunction is heart failure Is doc hiding something from us

No not hiding anything. Just diastolic dysfunction grade 1 is nothing to worry about

Hi. Diastolic relaxation abnormality is the new terminology for that and is dont worry as it's not the cause for her symptoms. Improve her general health and follow up with doctor regularly.
