Hello Doctor,
I went through C section surgery last month to deliver my baby. Post that, I started doing kegel ( contract and release pelvic floor muscle during urination) to contract the uterus. It's been 15 days now. And now my urinary tract has got infected due to this.
Please advice if I should stop doing kegel further now or please suggest a medicine to cure the infection.
Thanks,
Priyanka

Firstly kegels excercise is to be done after urination and not during...also kegels is not really required after cesarean section unless you went through advanced labour and then had cesarean...

Hi good evening
Thnxs for your question
Congratulations for being mother.
Kegel exercise is for improve ur plevic muscles tone after normal vaginal delivery. In normal vaginal delivery plevic muscles stretch too much therefore we advise kegel exercise.
But in ceaseian delivery no need to do kegel.
Don't do it.
Drink lots of water and don't hold urine for long time.

Don't take exersise as reason for uti... Uti is bacterial infection of urine and common after any operation... Drink lot of water and don't hold urine, do culture examiniation of urine...
