Hi mam there are chances that kids could swallow the mouthwash. So it is recommended for adults. Kids can be given warm salt water gargling if needed

Mouthwash is prescribed as per your child age & need so pls specify the age of the child . For adults there are different types of mouthwashes prescribed as per their oral health needs .

It’s because kids are not able to spit out the mouth wash completely and may swallow it as well

Hello... mouth wash is not recommended for daily use.... You can use luke warm salt water gargling for daily use.

Since most mouthwash have fluoride in them, if the child will swallow it, it will lead to excess of fluorine at an age when the teeth are still growing which can further cause fluorosis (white- brown spots) on the enamel of the tooth. Hence mouthwash is not recommended until the first permanent tooth erupts.
