Going crazy, my mom doesn’t understand!
Im 18 and recently I’ve been doing research on ADD/ADHD. I’ve come to the conclusion that I have it, even though I haven’t been diagnosed. I have many if not all symptoms of it, and when I told my mom about it she said I was fine. I broke down and cried to her and she told me how her and my sister both have it as well. She’s taking me to get checked out but says she doesn’t want me on any medication for it. I’ve tried Vyvanse before without her knowledge and it really helped, how do I tell her??

You are 18 and an adult. You can choose your treatment with professional guidance. See where your mom is taking you and I’m sure the professional will make her understand. Do not self diagnose it self medicate because ADD/ADHD symptoms can also indicate another underlying issue that you may not be aware of.
