Glossopharyngeal & trigeminal neuralgia
I was diagnosed with glossopharyngeal neuralgia and possible trigeminal neuralgia too. I was prescribed with Carbamazepine 100mg twice daily and amitryptiline hydrochloride 10mg once daily. I am in dilemma as i have heard carbamazepine causes LIVER FAILURE i have already taken for 2 weeks, any suggestion.

It's extremely rare to have liver failure due to carbamazepine. Only 1 in 100patients on carbamazepine gets elevated liver enzymes. It's a safe medication and most widely used.
