First of all, you must continue the medications It is a very common phenomenon where initially improvement is significantly noticed, after a few weeks some symptoms still felt or distress associated with it There are various factors, most common some changes in the environment in the form of stress whether at home or professional Response to the medications on the same dose have variation in terms of improvement No need to worry, in such a situation, the first step is to consult and discuss with your doctor, If needed, the dose may be adjusted or simply some advice will be given

Hello Sometimes depression returns even on meds — it can be a breakthrough effect, interaction, incorrect dose, or a new stressor — but it isn’t your fault. Don’t stop or change medicines on your own; contact your prescriber today for review or dose adjustment. If you feel like dying right now, get emergency help (nearest hospital/ambulance) or call a crisis helpline and stay with someone you trust; use quick grounding (5-4-3-2-1) until you can reach help. Take therapy. You can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.

What you describe — being on escitalopram (Nexito) after tapering clonazepam, feeling stable for a while, and then having a sudden worsening of depression with thoughts of “feeling like dying” — is clinically important. Antidepressant treatment does not always produce a steady, linear improvement; mood can worsen due to inadequate dose, drug interactions, psychosocial stressors, or because stopping benzodiazepines can cause rebound anxiety and sleep disturbance that exacerbate depression. Monitor closely and treat this worsening as a red flag that needs urgent review.
Next Steps
Contact your treating psychiatrist today for an urgent medication review (tell them exact medicines, doses, recent stops/tapers, sleep, and any stressors).
Health Tips
Do not stop or change medicines on your own — abrupt benzodiazepine cessation can cause rebound anxiety/insomnia and worsen mood.
