So my doctor has prescribed sompraz d for my condition of gastritis but i am unable to find thst medicine in local stores, they were giving me rabekind dsr, is this medicine same?
Rabekind contains rabeprazole whereas the other contains esomprazole

Such questions are best answered by the doctor who prescribed this medicine.
Personally I don't mind if the Pharmacist gives the medicine with same molecule (which I have prescribed) even if it is from a different Pharma Company but there are some doctors who write on their prescription pad,
"No substitute please".
They have their reasons, I have mine.
So please ask the doctor who prescribed.
Those are different medicine intended to do the same work.
Now it is upto your physician who prescribed you medication.
But for the time being , it is okay to take Rabeprazole in place of esomeorazole.
But ask your doctor when possible. Not an emergency
If sompraz d is not available ask for same salt different brand ,so that they can provide..still if you don't get ..you can take rabekind dsr for 3 to 5 days maximum..
