My husband is having multiple stones in gall bladder but now we had gone for ultrasound but doctor told that your gallbladder is shrieked what are the reasons for it

Long standing infection of gall bladder can cause fibrosis and shrinkage.
Better to get it removed by surgery and get it's histopathology diagnosis to rule out cancer.

He should get the gall bladder removed by Laparoscopic Surgery .
Or else he is very much prone to get other problems/complications due to stones.

Kindly tell the details of fasting/ diet before ultrasound done.
Even the detailed description of ultrasound findings to be mentioned for understanding pathology.
Repeat the ultrasound with fasting status.
The nature of pain abdomen also needs to be explained.
It is possible if you’re not fasting before the Ultrasound. Please get a repeat ultrasound of the abdomen and liver function test. If that shows a shrunken gall bladder again It is prudent to do a laparoscopic removal of the gallbladder
