Since your baby is only 19 days old I would suggest you to stop medication for a while. After feeds burp the baby well keeping him upright for 20-30 min. Massage around umbilicus, cycling movements of lower limbs would help in colic. If baby is comfortable in the rest of day, feeding well, passing urine adequately, abdomen is soft you need not worry as babies outgrow this phase. If still crying is concerning consult your paediatrician.

Greetings 19-day-old newborn who is highly unsettled, crying when laid down, and finding temporary relief only when held, following a 0.2 ml dose of prescribed Xymex Drops. Xymex drops contain digestive enzymes (pepsin, papain) and carminative oils (ginger, cinnamon) which, while meant for colic, can sometimes cause mild abdominal warmth or gastric irritation. However, the infant's severe crying and distress when placed flat could also indicate acid reflux, an incorrect dosage volume, or a more serious underlying issue.

Since he is only 19 days old, crying or becoming unsettled when laid down can be due to gas/reflux, but at this age we should not assume it is only colic. You can stop the Xymex drops for now, burp him well after every feed and keep him upright for about 20–30 minutes after feeding. Always put him to sleep flat on his back on a firm surface—do not use pillows or elevate the mattress. If he is feeding well, passing urine normally and settles when held, you can observe closely. However, if the crying is persistent/inconsolable, he is feeding poorly, vomiting repeatedly or green vomit, has abdominal swelling, unusual sleepiness, breathing difficulty, fewer wet diapers, or temperature ≥38°C (100.4°F), please get him examined urgently. Since he is less than 1 month old, if this behavior is distinctly new or continues today, I would prefer an examination rather than adding another colic medicine.
