  4. Fungal skin on butt. Appreciated.

Fungal skin on butt
I have been facing this from years. but shy to consult any dermatologist. A kind of ring worm on my but developed a very long ago. I applied anti fungal ointment. It got vanished but not really vanished and was in dormant. Again it appears in another 2 or 3 months. I am really suffering with this.. it makes the area dry and blackish with itchiness. Any best advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the query. Consider consultation with a Dermatologist Fungal infection is becoming an increasing problem due to rampant usage of antifungals. Please see a dermatologist as some extra medications are coprescribed many a times to treat. If needed a simple skin test can also be done. Till then use only OTC anti-allergic medications to control itching. Personal hygiene should be good. Wear loose fitting clothes. Dr MK Agarwala
