Fruits have a lot of sugar in them – can I still eat fruit if I have diabetes? As a take for the healthy content, and I am a workout freak, fruits are necessary for my body.

Yes, fruits contain natural sugars. Eating fruits as a whole is better than drinking as a fruit juice because there is a difference in the way the blood sugar rises because of difference in the rate of absorption of natural sugar into the system (glycemice index). Certain fruits like apple, pear, guava, cherries, kiwi and raw papaya can be consumed regularly.
