Hello. Yes it can if there is some instability happening at that level which leads to facet effusion. Facetal instability can cause front of the thigh pain. Also since you already had propensity of having disc problem there might be a new disc at higher level like at L2-3/ L3-4 which can cause pain in front thigh.
