Hi there, i have just recieved ur query and there is no doubt dat this is a psychiatric condition called Obssessive Compulsive Disorder. It is not madness or insanity but  an anxiety related disorder with a neuro-chemical basis and can affect anyone at any point of life. it is very common disorder. Above all it is completely treatable. treatment involves medications and psychotherapy. so all u need to get is consult psychiatrist and get cured. i hope this helps u but feel free to consult again.
