Hi, this is a question regarding my twin babies one male and another female. They getting cold and cough every month after 4 month. I am visiting near by pediatrician. They giving cold and cough medicine and giving antibiotics each time. They saying infection by inspecting nose. As per doctor i am giving antibiotics and cold medicines to my babies. They recovering i am happy but my question is it good to use antibiotics every month on babies. It's my second opinion only.

Usually small children have viral illness frequently which do not require antibiotics most of the time. If babies are well, playful and active and feeding well but having cough/cold/fever, you can avoid antibiotics
