My husband is getting frequent boils. atleast once a month. practising good hygiene, still getting them. He also has skin problem like acne pimples etc sometimes. And sometimes he suffers from allergies.

Hi... there is solution for your problem in Ayurveda.
This problem in dee to Vitiated pitta which makes your blood impure & which is disturbing skin & other things.
So start Ayurvedic treatment earlier.
Do Poultice- Take wheat flour 2 spoon+1 spoon oil + 1/2 spoon water + 1/2 spoon haldi +1/4 spoon mustard seeds cook it make bolus Form & then Apply slowly & steady on the boil For 15-20 mins Do that 3-4 times in day.
Take medecine Like-
Triphala guggul 3 tab thrice a day.
Guggul Tikta Kashay 4 tsp + 4 tsp water thrice a day.

Avoid eating Potato, Rice, Non-veg, & fermented food for 2-3 months.

Well does he sweat a lot? Sweating can mead to boils..make sure that he doesn't use very tight inners....use cotton wear...and of he's sitting for long hours..I mean if his job demands so then dye to friction also it happens...try to rule out the causes..thank you
