Fragile x syndrome
Hello doctor. Recently, we got to know that my daughter has premutations of FXS. The doctor told us she doesn't have "full mutation". I read on the internet that this syndrome is linked with mental retardation. My question is, can a person with premutations (not full mutation) also have mental retardation? And if me and my husband decide to have one more kid, is he/she at risk for this disease?
