Fractured of right upper tibia & fibula
Hi, My father met with accident on 6th Nov 2016, he was hit by 2wheeler and suffer fracture on right leg. He was undergone surgery and steel plate was screwed. Then complications begun, being dibetes patient and very weak body, his operation wound got infected. He was in lot of pain, infection increasing day by day so we have shown him to other doctor. As per doctor advised infection was removed by vacuum cup procedure for 2weeks and then doctor did one more operation, he removed steel plate and put metal rods, this metal rods was there for almost 3 month, but it didn't too worked out well and doctor asked for other operation to put fixation. Coz of continues failure my father was not ready for other painful operation. Now its been 10 months, his wound got healed he able to walk using walker but bone is still broken. I am looking for advice what can be done. I have attached latest X-ray of broken bone. I am in Gurgaon and planning bring father here. Kindly advise.

Hi, your father needs surgery whereby a nail or plate will be placed and bone grafting has to be done to encourage the bone to heal. Before surgery, we need to make sure the infection had completely healed. Wishing him early recovery, Regards, Dr Saseendar
