Fractured first metatarsal
I recently dropped something very heavy on my foot and fractured my first metatarsal. It's a clean cresant shaped break right where the head meets the shaft. What's the recovery time and when can I expect to start bearing some weight on it?

You can use a walking cast brace or walking plaster and start weight bearing. The normal healing time would be 4-6 weeks and you can start bearing weight (if not applied a plaster) by approximately 3 weeks, respecting your pain.
Health Tips
Walking on the heel to avoid experiencing pain can lead to ankle stiffness. So please do regular ankle stretching exercises to avoid post healing issues.
