I want to know in how many days should a packet of formula be discarded after opening? Also does a closed fist of a 3.5 month old baby always signify hunger ?

Check the label for expiry dates...also if it was in a powder form which was later mixed with water..that syp will have to be consumed within 10- 15 days....fisting is a normal reflex not signifying hunger

expiry of formula depends on brands. check that.
Closed fist doesn't mean hunger. It is a normal newborn reflex. It will subside after 6 months of age.
Formula box, once opened should be consumed within 2 weeks of opening / exposing to air.
Make sure the container is airtight, moisture free and sterile.
Any bit of moisture will spoil it / need to be used faster.
That said, make sure to give your child the appropriate amount of feed. Font overfeed just to finish the formula packet.
