With home based iui kits there is no semen preparation techniques that are used wen u do iui at a fertility center . Also there is no sepsis which could expose you to genital infections. It's an invasive procedure n it's always best when done by a professional. Also, the iui kit used at home should not even be called iui as u dont deposit the semen inside the uterus,u just deposit it in the vagina where it gets deposited even during a natural coitus. So I would never recommend it

It is best if u come for iui at a clinic rather than using the home iui kit because during iui we see to it we choose the best possible quality of sperms for intrauterine insertion to give you a better chance to conceive.
But in any case using home kits are very subjective so u can try
