Food stuff to be avoided in pregnancy
Hi I am anxious to know whether it is safe to take following Vegetables or Spices or Food items during pregnancy (1st Trimester) - please guide. Brinjal, Mushroom, Baby Corn or Sweet Corn, Bitter gourd, Lemon , Fennel, Fenugreek, Poppy seed paste or Mustard Seed paste (in Curry), Garlic, Ginger, Soy chunks, Tofu. I am confused with these items primarily so need to know clearly should I have them or not. Also please suggest some other avoidable food items (if any) except Pineapple and Papaya * Thanks,

Good evening.. - There is no restriction in food intake during pregnancy . Can have whatever u like. - Can eat all types of fruits and vegetables. Eat what you like out of them. Don’t get forced to eat foods u don’t like . U should enjoy the food u eating then only baby also will enjoy them. - no restriction with spices too. - see if ur over weight or diabetes or Bp then u should restrict few food .. - see that u should gain 0.5kgs per week and total pregnancy 11 kgs with weight and BMI normal .
