Food related problems
Hello Sir/Mam, I want to ask about my son's food related problems. My son does not have any interest in any kind of food. He doesn't show any interest when I serve him food. It's like a work for him. He takes 1-2 hours everyday for every meal in a day. He doesn't want to chew the food. After taking each bite of chapati or rice or anything, he forgets to eat it. He just kept them in a side of mouth and sit just like that. For every bite we have to make remember to eat or chew the food every day. He doesn't show interest in his favourite food also. He eats that also in a same manner. He eats chocolates, chips, toffees very fast. But that doesn't mean we give him these kind of stuff every day, we give him only once in a 2-3 week. I doesn't allow my son to eat outside unhealthy food. And yes my son always watches tv at the time of eating. But if I close the tv than also he will eat the food in the same manner. I mean it's no matter tv is on or off..He eats like that only. Please help me

If his weight and height is normal for his age, is not an issue. Encourage him to get some physical activity. Let him go out and play everyday, it may be group sports or individual like cycling or skating. It will make him hungry. Give nutritious food.
Next Steps
you may consult me for evaluation of his growth parameters and nutritional status or you can also consult a pediatrician in your area for assessment.
