Folic acid for pregnancy
I am planning to conceive. Should i take folic acid supplements to increase my chances of getting pregnant. I am presently taking Becosules tablet. should i continue with it?

Hi,preconceptional folic acid of about 1 mg is must to prevent Nueral tube defects(NTD) and few congenital anomalies.Becosules contains 1.5mg of folic acid.If you are not an high risk case for the NTD, Becosule is sufficient. 5mg of folic acid is required for an high risk patient.Meet your Gynecologist to decide for this.
