Folic acid
Can I take folic acid supplement (Fol 123) two days after ovulation day if trying to conceive? Will this increase my chances of having twins? (I am a fraternal twin myself) If yes, how long should I intake folic acid supplement?

Yes you should take folic acid as a preconceptions supplement.it helps reducing neural tube defects .it does not increase the chance of multiple pregnancy.but being one of the twins you already have a higher chance of twins and so get the dating scan ASAP you miss the periods

Hi there, Yes take folic acid tablet once a day. Generally we do advice to take folic acid pre conceptionally. So it's safe.. And you can continue taking folic acid even when you don't conceive in this cycle. Folic acid prevents some defects in the baby but it does not help in conceiving twins or increases any chance of pregnancy. As you are one of the twins yourself , there is a natural chance that u might get pregnant with the twins. Folic acid to be continued for 3 months.

Hi. You can take folic acid fro 3 months . It has no connection with twin preg . Preconception folic acid is given for 3 months .
