Flying with glue ear
My 5 and half year old kid diagnosed with Glue ear in June 2022. They put him in watching period for 3 months. In October doctor said the glue ear has got cleared. But now in December doctor said that tge glue has come again n needs to get operate. We as parent very much worried about the surgery. My questions are
1. is he really need surgery or is there any other alternative treatment ?
2. Can he fly with glue ear? Does flying affect his ear or hearingloss or any other thing?

Needs detailed history and evaluation
Does he mouth breath or snore at night?
Is his academic performance good?
Better to avoid air travel until the condition subsides
Needs examination
This fluid in ear occurs in children due to tissue called adenoid behind the nose or due to allergy

Hello , As ot now there is no surgery needed and do plz keep a check on adenoid hypertrophy status , plz avoid flying during cold episodes and it won't cause him hearing loss but ear pain will occur.
