Dear doctor, I have a fissure for last 4 weeks now. My constipation is cleared. No bleeding after stool. All I have now is mild pain in the opening area of the Anus and mild itchyness. How long does it take for a fissure to heal ? Kindly let me know

I am Krishna and I work as consultant surgeon at Leeds Infirmary in UK. Your fissure generally should heal within 6 to 8 weeks. Meanwhile you can use Anusol H. Avoid getting Constipation and use non alcoholic wipes for your bottom. Regards
