Fever since 1 and 1/2 day
85 yr, old female , known HTN and diabetic since 10 yrs and on medication . Complaining fever since 1 and half day , on and off. Chills since yesterday occasional, vomiting 1 episode after taking medicine. Paramedical staff had given Gentamycin yesterday for time being and advised investigations.MP - Negative.. WIDAL : Positive.
S. Typhi 0 : 1:80
S. Typhi H :1:80
S. Paratyphi : <1:20
But report says widal positive. Is widal positive with this titres??( both 1:80) can u plz xplain and Plz confirm this

Symptomatic management can be started , please get ns1 antigen tested , could be dengue , typhoid is unlikely as this is a very low titre ( repeat test needed after 3-4 days )
