Fever, Shivering and Vomits
My kid was fine till 5 PM today till he went for a nap. When he woke up at 8 he had 102 fever. I gave him 5ml of combiflam syrup then he immediately spit that out by vomitting. I gave him another 5 ml after couple of minutes and the fever went away in sometime. Again at 1 AM when he was shivering in his sleep i measured his temperature and it was 101.6. I tried to give him another dosage of Combiflam and he again vomitted it and I had to repeat it after couple of minutes. His vomit had some cough and mucus as he was also sneezing from couple of days. My concern is what should be the ideal and maximum dosage of Combiflam for my kid and should i have to rush to paediatric in the morning or I can wait for a day and see him improving. His stats are as follows Age - 2 years 10 months Weight - 24 kgs (As measured in August)

You can continue to give him fever medicine every 6 hours if the need be. Prefer to use paracetamol, as it is much safer than any other fever medicine. In the meanwhile keep your child well hydrated as most high fevers are due to dehydration which can be corrected. If he has cough you have to consult a pediatrician.
