Fever seizure
6 year 6 month old had fever and cold since last night.early morning temp rose to 103.8, cold compress and calpol was given,fever came down, after some time in sleep she looked weird, tried talking but she was disoriented,just staring and not responding.took her to emergency and now under observation.i am worried cause she is over 6 and worried it may be something else.

It could be something called febrile delirium where because of high fever the child will get disoriented but once fever settles child will come back to normal state. But other causes like fits must be ruled out . It’s good you are in the hospital. They will take measures to rule out other causes of delirium

If you are already in hospital, please don't worry. As per What you have described, seizure must be ruled out. This can be very well done under observation in hospital.
