Fever only
My one one year old boy has been suffering from fever since last day. At the thermometer the temperature is shown 99, 100, 100.5, 101 or  like that it means a real temperature is one or one and half degrees more than that. When calpol 120 mg 5 ml per serving is administered the temperature goes down after 4 or 5 hours it started rising again. What should I do? No other symptoms like running nose cough loose motions etc. He is not taking the diet properly.

Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely. If not accompanied by any other symptom like vomiting or loose motions or breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed, just give paracetamol for fever and repeat after 4 hours if required. If not improving OR accompanied by above, consult your paediatrician for physical examination and treatment.
