Fever from two days
My daughter is suffering from fever for two days. I am giving her SUMO L DS (250 mg) as SOS. I want to start LEVOFLOXACIN ORAL SOLUTION IP ( L-CIN) from today as the antibiotic. Kindly tell me what should be the dose of L-CIN SYRUP. ( AGE- 6 YEARS, WEIGHT- 24 KG)

Donât give antibiotics especially levofloxacin to the child without proper investigations to rule out bacterial infections. Most of febrile illnesses in children are of viral origin and are cured by itself.

Dear parent, it is not advisable to start antibiotic without proper need for the same ... If you feel she is suck , get her examined by a paediatrician and follow the doctor's orders rather than self treatment ...Thank you ...
