My 8 month old baby has fever, cough and cold from past 5 days. It started quickly on a fine night with a weird cough. Initially we thought she swallowed something, but on checking nothing was inside the mouth and temperature was 100.4. We have paracetamol and she was fine. But sounded cold. She had high temperature and cold for the next three days. Temperature rised only during night then. From yesterday she started showing high temperature even during day time. Today temp was 101.8. it reduces to 99 when we give paracetamol but again raises by 6-7 hours
Nobody else in the home has cold or fever.
We started antibiotic yesterday night. Blood and urine was tested all were normal.
She bites everything she gets. Is this related to teething, she has zero teeth's so far.
Is there anything to worry. It's been five days. And we have to travel tomorrow.

I would suggest not traveling tomorrow
And consult with pediatrician in person, as a thorough examination is required.
It doesn’t not look like a normal viral fever.
And blood tests and other investigation may be needed further or repeated.
Next Steps
Consult in person, not online.

Okay fever is the main problem right then when you are giving appropriate dosage if it subsiding then no need worry and if baby is active in between the episode of fever and feeding is good then definitely you can wait for 7days and usually viral fever resolve in 7 to 10 days.
If fever is of 5 days need to consult physically in hospital , and avoid travelling. If child is having high grade fever along with fast breathing decrease oral intake then get to admit, vital fever can be prolonged, but physical examination is necessary
