Fever & cough 1 week
My wife is suffering from cough and fever since past one week. Fever is steady around 100.6 deg. Associated with mild headache. Eases up sometimes when she has some food. Blood test shows low albumin (2.9), albumin is high (4.3). Haemoglobin (10.7),haemotocrit(33.2) ,MCH(25.4). Can you advise next course? Is it some bacterial infection

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Could you please attach the reports which are even of concern with this case. I mean where is the differential count? ESR? Platelets? Seriously, why would you even get tests done on your own? Consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.

Hello....... To know the cause you need to run more test like white cell count ,DC, platelet count ,esr etc... So complete blood count is required... Her hemoglobin is less which reflects on hematocrit . Anemia causes weakness, fatigue, dizziness, But cough with fever could be bacterial or viral infection ... So do more test..
