Fever and Cough
My son aged 2.9yrs has fever since last 3days and he has been given with paracetamol/cecullin and salbutamol syrups to take half spoon 2 times / day and he is taking it since 2days but no signs of recovery. He still getting high recurring fever within few hours and his body is becoming too hot and he coughing also.
Today we have given his blood for testing and awaiting.
Can you plz advise how long this kind of fever lasts as today it is 4th day for him.

It is looking like viral fever, which lasts usually less than 7 days. If the child is having tonsillitis he will require antibiotic. Get examined his throat and chest. Another thing to rule out is Dengue fever. Give plenty of oral fluids, atleast 1.25lit per day.
