Fever and cold
My child 3.5 year have cough and cold. He's taking prescribed medication for that. I have IR thermometer to take his temperature. His hand reading is normal 97-98 but his forehead reading is 102 - 103. I am in a doubt that which one to consider. He's active all day long. Sometimes complaining about stomach ache. Which thermometer reading to consider forehead or hand.

It's essential to know the thermometer's distance-to-spot ratio, and get close enough to the area before checking the temperature else there can be a wide variation of 3 degrees and false results.
