Hello Doctor,
I am having fever since last 3 days along with bodyache. On the second day of fever, I got following tests done: CBC, Dengue, Malaria. All reports were normal including ESR values. Is it possible to have normal ESR during viral fever? I have been having Calpol once or twice a day. The fever currently is around 101F which is lower than peak of 103F that I had. Still have bodyache. Does it seem like viral fever?
Regards,
Rahul

Hi Rahul! It can still likely be a flu. Fever, body aches, malaise, headache, loss of appetite etc. are typical symptoms of viral fever.
It usually takes 5-7 days for viral fever/flu to go.
Drink plenty of water, eat healthy food, take Calpol as required.

Health Tips
Since the tests were done immediately, sometimes if fever persists before 5-7 days or have some unusual symptoms or if condition worsens, repeat tests and some additional tests are required
